Girlfriends Getaway

Since this is the first Blog I have ever attempted, please forgive me if you received one previous to this one - but I don't think you did.  I hope this one works.  Anyway, since I am getting so excited to see you all I thought blogging would be a great way to keep you up to date on plans, once they are confirmed, and for you to be able to have questions and concerns answered.

As of now, we are on the list for the taping of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson which shoots on July 9th.  We will have to leave from Two Bunch and go directly to CBS Studios, but that's not a problem, we just have to be there at 3PM.  We should be finished at 6P.  As soon as I find out what guests are scheduled that evening, I will let you know.  Depending on how we feel, we can either grab a bite near the studio or head back down to Redondo - we can play it by ear.

Friday is packed.  Darnelle and I are trying to plan the ultimate Hollywood tour, which we should probably head out on at about 9:30A and plan on finishing at about 1:30P.  Everyone is invited to hang out and rest at my house because we'll have to be on our way down to Laguna Beach at around 3:30P for massive doses of margaritas and then Pageant of the Masters which starts at 8:30PM.  I have booked an 18 passenger Escalade/Party Bus which we will have at our disposal for 3 days.  I am sure you guys will have our driver completely out of his mind by the end of Friday evening.

What I am still waiting for:  

Your choice of treatments as well as a few more RSVP's.

Also, if anyone is leaving early and won't be attending Pageant or The Tubes, please let me know.  I have all of the tickets for Pageant and I plan on getting Tubes tickets next week.

Please email me your alcoholic beverage of choice. I'll be stocking up for Two Bunch and for home, and I want to make sure I am covered.  I would also like some recipes for some great 

hors d'oeuvres.

Darnelle is our official group leader. I needed to drive her crazy.  Her email is msdarnie@gmail.com.  Any questions or concerns you may have, she will have any and all information that I have.

July 9th is actually Lani Hanson's Birthday.  I'll be buying a cake and we'll have a little celebration in the car on the way back to LA. The car is big enough to have a party in - so hopefully we can recognize her birthday as well.

My hope is that you all chime in on this blog with ideas for a few things. We are thinking of a night of games and a night of Girlie movies for Two Bunch.  I would love suggestions. Also, if any of you want to see something special here in LA, please let us know and we will try and work it into our schedule.  And finally, if anyone has friends out here that they want to see,

please feel free.  Saturday our day is  open.  You are also welcome to invite them down to the house for cocktails on Saturday as well as to go see The Tubes, if they are interested. 

I can't wait to see you all.  I wish it were tomorrow!
